Respiratory Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Start Date: 08-25-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week; weekend and on-call schedules to be determined by facility
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patient respiratory status
- Provide respiratory treatments and monitor patient responses to care
- Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory interventions and adjust plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, health, and wellness
- Collaborate with the acute care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute hospital setting
- Experience with infants and pediatrics
- Current PALS certification
- Active Oregon state license or eligibility to obtain one
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Knowledge of respiratory treatments and therapies
- Pediatric and infant respiratory care
- Acute care experience
- Patient education and communication skills
- PALS certified
