Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care to patients across acute and critical care settings.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients' respiratory status, adjusting therapies as needed.
• Administer breathing treatments, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and refine care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Respond quickly to respiratory emergencies and code situations.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Previous respiratory therapy experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and health screening requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities, including oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation.
• Ability to interpret patient data and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Compassionate approach to patient education and support.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation.
