Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient respiratory status and ventilator management
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance techniques
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to implement individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and rapid response calls
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility in Iowa
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every 3rd weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in ventilator management and oxygen therapy
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Comfortable working independently during night shifts
• Skilled in electronic health record documentation
