Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and managing patient comfort
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and order as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience in a dental office, especially with pediatric patients, is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, reassuring demeanor
• Ability to work evening shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols
• Radiography certification or ability to obtain one
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with children in a healthcare setting
• Proficient in dental software for charting and scheduling
