Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients of all ages
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instrumentation and support
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed in the operatory

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Previous dental hygiene experience preferred, but new graduates welcome
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Familiarity with digital X-ray systems
• Understanding of infection control standards
• Strong patient education skills
• Proficiency in dental practice management software
