Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists with patient exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
• Capture and process dental x-rays as directed
• Document patient care and update dental records accurately
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and support daily clinic operations

Qualifications

• Maryland Dental Assistant certification (RDA/CDA) or willingness to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to get certified)
• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred
• Ability to pass background check and comply with MD state requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Comfort with digital x-ray systems and dental practice management software
• Excellent patient communication and chair-side manner
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
