Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs, airway, and level of consciousness during the post-anesthesia period
• Assess and manage pain, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Rhode Island
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PACU experience required
• Strong critical care assessment skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and participate in call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of post-anesthesia care and recovery
• Proficiency in monitoring equipment and patient assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
