Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and interventions for acute care patients
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilators including Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide therapy
• Deliver aerosolized and nebulizer therapies and set up CPAP/BiPAP treatments
• Perform chest physiotherapy and other respiratory procedures to support patient recovery
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and collaborate with the critical care team
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment use

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must-haves for consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• Previous Meditech EMR experience preferred by the director
• Trauma experience is a plus and will make your application stand out
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and patient-focused communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral) with confidence
• ABG analysis and clinical interpretation to inform care decisions
• Nebulizer, CPAP and BiPAP setup and troubleshooting
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT) techniques and airway clearance strategies
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation and orders
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity night team
