Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse MedSurg/Telemetry patient population
• Monitor telemetry strips, interpret rhythms, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips such as amiodarone, heparin, cardizem, and nitro
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional outcomes for post-cath, post-pacemaker, and stepdown patients
• Float between the 300 unit and the main unit to support both surgical/ortho/medical and cardiac-focused patients
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus
• BSN not required - we welcome all qualified RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
• Cardiac drip administration (amiodarone, heparin, cardizem, nitro, dopamine)
• Stepdown level of care and post-procedure recovery
• Comfort with BIPAP/CPAP
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt and float between units
