Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, including non-vesicant chemotherapy per protocol after ONS training
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or a compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous experience in Progressive Care or Step-Down nursing preferred
• Oncology experience beneficial; willingness to complete ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course
• Completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and vesicant precautions (after training)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate patient-centered approach
