Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring early detection of changes in condition
• Administer medications, including non-vesicant chemotherapy, with precision and safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with unit protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Successful completion of the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or OCN certification preferred
• Previous oncology experience is a plus
• Ability to complete unit-based oncology training and orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and progressive care nursing
• Comfort administering chemotherapy and managing infusion reactions
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
