Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients
• Monitor and assess critical vital signs, adjusting care plans as needed
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to deliver coordinated care
• Support and educate families during stressful and challenging times
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records
• Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies and changes in patient condition

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Previous PICU or pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols and procedures
• Skilled in using electronic health records and monitoring equipment
• Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage multiple complex patient needs
• Compassionate and effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities
