Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding quickly
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, specialists, and nurses
• Support and educate families during challenging times
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Massachusetts (or compact license where applicable)
• BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
• Previous experience in pediatric critical care or acute care setting
• Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of pediatric medications, dosing, and emergency protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs
