Shift Type: Per Diem, 12-hour shifts; flexible scheduling based on unit needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding quickly
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, specialists, and nurses
- Support and educate families during challenging times
- Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Massachusetts (or compact license where applicable)
- BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
- Previous experience in pediatric critical care or acute care setting
- Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of pediatric medications, dosing, and emergency protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs
