Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor progressive care patients, recognizing subtle changes and escalating care as needed
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately during 12-hour night shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity to support recovery and safe transitions
• Document patient condition, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record in a timely manner
• Respond quickly to emergencies and assist with procedures as appropriate for PCU level care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (PCU or acute care experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS recommended or preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and adapting to a travel assignment schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN/BSN); BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring familiarity for PCU patients
• Skilled in IV medications, infusion management, and medication safety
• Solid assessment skills and ability to triage deterioration
• Electronic medical record documentation proficiency
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
