Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to progressive care unit patients
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and clinical status with critical thinking
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous PCU, step-down, or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit demands

Knowledge & Skills

• Confident in telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Proficient with EHR charting systems (EPIC experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate patient and family education skills
