Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and overall patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous PCU, step-down, or acute care nursing experience is a plus but not required
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Skilled in IV therapy and medication administration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
