Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, schedule to be determined (orientation required)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor progressive care patients, spotting changes early and acting with purpose
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while documenting care
Interpret telemetry and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient plans
Provide patient- and family-centered education that empowers recovery and self-care
Coordinate transitions of care, including handoffs and discharge planning
Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and participating in quality initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Kentucky (compact license accepted where applicable)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience preferred — comfort with telemetry and intermediate acuity
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to complete required onboarding and background checks; orientation attendance required

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring abilities
Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
Effective patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Clear communication and teamwork with physicians, techs, and support staff
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
