Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with a focus on patient safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and post-discharge care
• Document patient progress accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Respond to critical changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate actions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Michigan (or compact license if applicable)
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Current ACLS certification
• Previous experience in PCU, step-down, or acute care setting preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in progressive care
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable using electronic health records and medication administration systems
