Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to infants, children, and adolescents
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth recovery and discharge
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered
• Educate families on post-operative care and recovery
• Document patient progress and respond quickly to changes in condition

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification
• PALS certification required for pediatric care
• Previous PACU or critical care experience with pediatric patients preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to provide compassionate care to children and families

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment skills
• Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
• Comfort with electronic health records
