Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' emergence from anesthesia, intervening promptly when needed
• Administer medications and manage post-operative pain under established protocols
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth, safe recovery experience
• Educate and support families with clear, comforting communication during recovery
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain a safe, calm environment

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred
• Previous PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced pediatric environment

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of post-anesthesia care and pediatric monitoring
• Proficiency in IV administration, pain management, and emergency response
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and families
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong documentation and EHR skills
