Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Prepare and maintain operating rooms with the necessary surgical instruments and sterile supplies
• Assist the surgical team as either a circulating or scrub nurse during procedures
• Closely monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes during surgery
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure the best outcomes for every child
• Support patients and families through the surgical experience with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS certification (PALS is a plus)
• Prior operating room experience, especially with pediatric patients, is strongly preferred
• CNOR certification is an added bonus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and compassionate environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and OR protocols
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and the surgical team
• Ability to anticipate and respond quickly to the needs of the surgical team
• Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills
• A caring and calm demeanor that helps children and families feel at ease
