Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures
• Prepare operating rooms with sterile supplies and equipment
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia recovery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous OR or perioperative nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Understanding of pediatric anatomy and developmental considerations
• Skills in patient assessment and monitoring
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
• Team collaboration and clear communication
