Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based oncology nursing care to adult patients
• Administer and monitor treatments, including chemotherapy-related care where applicable
• Use Cerner EMR to accurately document assessments, medications, and care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-focused care
• Perform bedside procedures and assist with pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis when needed
• Maintain safe patient ratios and prioritize critical needs during busy shifts
• Serve as a professional, team-oriented resource during night coverage and weekend rotations

Qualifications

• Current RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• 2 years clinical experience (as listed in the job profile)
• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Chemo certification preferred (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Ability to work rotating nights and scheduled weekends; team-player attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong oncology nursing knowledge and comfort with med-surg oncology workflows
• Proficiency using Cerner EMR for documentation and medication administration
• Experience managing patient ratios of approximately 1:4 to 1:5
• Comfort with occasional pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis support
• Good clinical judgment, prioritization, and teamwork during night shifts
