Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care for critically ill newborns in the NICU
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, adjust treatments, and respond to emergencies
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and neonatal interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and nurses to deliver comprehensive care
• Educate and support families during an emotional time, building trust and confidence
• Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC electronic health records

Qualifications

• 2+ years of NICU experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Active RN license required
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal intensive care nursing expertise
• Neonatal resuscitation and emergency response skills
• EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and family support skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care environment
