Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill newborns
• Monitor vital signs and assess neonatal conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists and nurses
• Educate and support families during a stressful time
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience (preferred)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Familiarity with ventilators, monitors, and neonatal equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent assessment and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and family-centered care approach
