Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg and Telemetry patient population
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, intervening promptly to ensure patient safety
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments while maintaining accurate documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and discharge planning
• Maintain a calm, focused presence during emergencies and rapid response situations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a compact state (license verification required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Prior experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing is strongly preferred
• Ability to complete required physical, immunization, and competency testing prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family education
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and multitasking abilities
