Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients with diverse conditions
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans that promote recovery
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and smooth transitions
• Educate patients and families on health management, medication instructions, and discharge planning
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous med-surg experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing best practices and patient safety protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a team
