Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide med/surg level care to adult patients aged 18 and over
• Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and report changes
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered using Pyxis
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Float to surgical peds or transitional care units as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in Meditech EMR
• Utilize wound vacs, chest tubes, and other specialized equipment

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required by start date (must apply upon acceptance if not currently licensed)
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg or higher level of care experience
• BLS certification is required
• ACLS certification is preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules including various shift lengths and days
• Must be available to arrive the Thursday before start for employee health appointment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Knowledge of wound vac and chest tube management
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to float between units as needed
