Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following BLS and ACLS protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Adapt quickly to a new unit culture and build positive relationships with patients, families, and teammates
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large hospital preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and punctuality are essential
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Georgia or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
• Comfortable managing a mixed Med/Surg caseload with a 5-6:1 patient ratio
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
