Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation
• Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and infection control

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous medical-surgical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply
• Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of medical-surgical nursing
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassion and empathy when caring for patients and families
