Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients on a fast-paced Med Surg/Tele floor specializing in ortho trauma and general medical conditions
• Monitor telemetry and electrocardiograms, interpreting rhythms and responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and titrate drips including Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, discharges, and admissions efficiently
• Perform thorough assessments, hourly rounding, and documentation in EPIC
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery, ensuring a smooth transition to home

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to titrate IV drips is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of MedSurg and Telemetry nursing practices
• Proficiency in IV therapy and medication administration
• Familiarity with ortho trauma and post-surgical care
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-first mindset with cultural sensitivity
