Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered
• Provide education and support to new parents
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and positive birth experiences
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Idaho (or compact state)
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Previous labor and delivery nursing experience
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Pass Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and background check
• Up-to-date immunizations including COVID-19 and Influenza

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
• Skilled in labor support techniques and pain management
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with calm and confidence
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Knowledge of postpartum care and newborn assessment
