Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring a safe and positive birthing experience
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, using AWHONN standards and interventions as needed
• Assist obstetricians and midwives with deliveries, including cesarean sections and emergency procedures
• Educate new mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Idaho (or valid compact license)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices
• Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-stress situations
• Commitment to patient-centered care
