Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status with precision
• Administer medications and titrate infusions based on patient response and protocols
• Operate and manage advanced equipment including ventilators, monitors, and IV pumps
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Support and educate patients and families through critical moments, providing clarity and comfort

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state license (or willingness to obtain before start)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• ICU or critical care nursing experience is strongly preferred; new grads with a passion for critical care are encouraged to apply
• Must meet facility health requirements including COVID-19 vaccination and TB screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity situations
• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• In-depth knowledge of ICU protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
• Compassionate and effective communication with patients and families under stress
