Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients in a fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient flow
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN License required prior to the start of the contract
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and consecutive weekends as needed
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and acute care assessment in emergency settings
• Stabilization and monitoring of critically ill or injured patients
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Clear communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
