Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage in the Emergency Department
• Administer medications and emergency treatments per protocol
• Interpret ECG rhythms and monitor patients for changes in status
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and the care team to deliver high-quality emergency care
• Provide expert care for trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patients
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Paragon EMR
• Float to other units as qualified to help meet patient needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• BSN not required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend

Education

• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in triage and emergency assessment
• ECG rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Knowledge of emergency conditions including trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac emergencies
• Comfortable managing ER holds and caring for a diverse patient population
• Proficient with Paragon EMR
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
