Shift Type: Various 12-hour shifts available (day, evening, night), including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; self-scheduling; every third weekend

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a 27-bed ER
• Triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including aids, EMTs, and paramedics to deliver optimal outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians
• Document patient care thoroughly using the EPIC charting system
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care for successful recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state - compact license accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• BSN not required - ADN grads welcome to apply
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to handle all ages and conditions
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly in a dynamic emergency setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with staff and patients
• Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures, triage protocols, and patient stabilization
