Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse, high-volume patient population
• Perform rapid patient assessment and triage to prioritize care in critical situations
• Administer medications and manage infusion pumps and monitors (Baxter pumps, GE monitors) safely and accurately
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently in Cerner
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely patient treatment and disposition
• Coach and give constructive feedback to colleagues in real time to support team performance
• Maintain excellent patient experience using AIDET and clear communication throughout the visit

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• Minimum 2 years' nursing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Certifications required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide feedback
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation system

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing, trauma care and stroke care expertise
• Triage and rapid patient assessment skills
• Familiarity with Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Accurate clinical documentation in Cerner
• Cardiac monitoring and critical care interventions
• Strong communication, patient-centered care and AIDET practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and adapt across ED sections
