Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients based on acuity and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocol
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Emergency Department experience preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures
• Comfort with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and emergency medications
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family interaction
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
