Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ED/ER
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients to prioritize treatment based on clinical need
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate updates clearly during handoffs
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care with empathy and clarity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (KY license or compact-state privileges preferred)
• Experience or strong interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred where applicable
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid assessment skills tailored to emergency care
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and basic EMR navigation
• Strong intravenous therapy, medication administration, and monitoring skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple critical tasks
• Team-oriented attitude and clear, respectful communication with patients and colleagues
