Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered dialysis care following established protocols and best practices
• Perform and document thorough assessments, monitor vitals, and adjust care plans as needed
• Operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment with attention to patient safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Provide patient and caregiver education on dialysis procedures, access care, and home strategies
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns to the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and follow infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain RN licensure in Utah
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as listed) with dialysis experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated competency with dialysis modalities and vascular access care
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or specialty certifications are a plus
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and credentialing for travel assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dialysis treatments, machine setup, and monitoring
• Excellent patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfortable with vascular access care, cannulation oversight, and troubleshooting
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficient documentation skills and adherence to regulatory standards
• Ability to work independently while fitting into an established care team
