Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert sedation monitoring during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assess, monitor, and care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional caths, including STEMI, TAVR, and EVAR
• Administer conscious sedation per protocol and ensure patient safety
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cath lab techs, and the healthcare team
• Accurately document patient information in Cerner EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency procedures, including weekends

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or critical care
• Experience with conscious sedation monitoring and testing
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient in conscious sedation administration and monitoring
• Comfortable using Cerner charting system
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
