Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday; must be willing to float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions and escalate care as needed
• Float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines campuses to support staffing needs

Qualifications

• Current RN license required; License/Certificate Verification will be completed
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Must pass Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and Physical/Health Statement
• Up-to-date immunizations including COVID-19 Vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella, and 2-Step PPD or IGRA
• Willingness to float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac nursing and telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to float between campuses
• Skill in patient education and family support
