Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered behavioral health nursing care to patients across both adult and youth psychiatric units
• Float between the Adult and Youth Hospitals to ensure safe, responsive coverage based on census and patient needs
• De-escalate challenging situations with trauma-informed techniques and creative, flexible problem-solving
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, balancing policy, safety, and individual patient needs
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and maintain compliance with safety protocols
• Support patients through difficult times with empathy, accountability, and a solution-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
• CPI certification required, or willingness to obtain within 45 days of start
• At least 2 years of recent behavioral health experience
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong rapport-building and crisis intervention skills
