Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs, creating personalized care plans that meet regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Administer a range of rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive devices, and wound care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and document everything accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to provide education, counseling, and comprehensive discharge planning.
  • Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students while participating in team meetings and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license - required
  • 1+ year of professional PT experience - required; new grads welcome with Level II clinical experience (not just observation)
  • Long-term care or rehab experience - required
  • Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
  • Ability to supervise and mentor support staff and students
