Physical Therapist Assistant - Travel
Location: South Amboy, New Jersey
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized therapy interventions following the PT plan of care
- Document patient progress and responses to treatment with accuracy
- Empower patients through education and customized home exercise programs
- Communicate patient status clearly to the supervising PT
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active state PTA license (or ability to obtain one)
- Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid grounding in physical therapy techniques and patient care
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Skilled in patient education and developing home exercise programs
- Knowledge of infection control and compliance standards
- Capable of implementing treatment plans and working within an interdisciplinary team
