Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and retainer fittings
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and organized
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Record patient treatment notes and update charts using Denticon software
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer any questions
• Help patients feel at ease and informed throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified (required)
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, ideally in orthodontics
• Ability to work the specified shift from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM
• Strong communication skills and a caring, professional approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software, including Denticon
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent patient interaction and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
