Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside, ensuring every patient feels comfortable and informed before, during, and after their visit
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories, maintaining a spotless and safe clinical environment
• Take and mount dental X-rays and impressions with precision, helping to create accurate treatment plans
• Document patient care and treatment details in Denticon, keeping records accurate and up to date
• Educate patients on braces and aligner care, empowering them to confidently manage their orthodontic journey
• Anticipate the orthodontist's needs and keep procedures running smoothly and efficiently

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification is required
• Previous experience as an orthodontic dental assistant is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Denticon software is a plus
• Commitment to excellent patient care and infection control standards
• Ability to work the evening shift from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong orthodontic assisting skills, from taking impressions to adjusting appliances
• Working knowledge of dental X-ray and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency with Denticon or ability to learn quickly
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a busy, team-oriented dental office
