Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Manage inventory of supplies and materials

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant in Maryland (required)
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus, but we welcome motivated new grads!
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a smile
• Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certification preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficient in dental software for scheduling and charting
• Sterilization techniques and infection control standards
• Team collaboration and patient care focus
