Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis
• Perform periodontal assessments and scaling
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Maintain patient records and treatment plans
• Collaborate with dentists to ensure comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene License
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures
• Knowledge of dental instruments and equipment
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Patient management and comfort techniques
• Radiography and imaging skills
